For women in perimenopause & menopause

Understand your own bloodwork.

Upload the bloodwork you already have, and see each marker in context as it changes over time.

Äini does not diagnose. It helps you read your own data and bring sharper questions to your clinician.

Äini shows where a value sits and explains the marker in plain language. It does not set targets or give a diagnosis — ranges and next steps are for you and your clinician to discuss.

Built by Maria Pennanen, after her own health data left her without clear, evidence-based answers. Äini helps women read existing bloodwork in plain language — with sources.

How it works

Three steps. Your data stays yours.

01 / Upload

Add the results you already have

Upload your lab PDFs. No new tests to book, no kit to buy.

02 / Read

See each marker in plain language

Every marker is explained simply, with the published source behind the explanation shown alongside it.

03 / Track

Watch how it changes over time

Upload again later and Äini lines up your results so you can see the trend, not just one snapshot.

Built to be trusted

Evidence first. No hype, no beauty pitch.

Data residency

Stored in the EU

Your health data is held and processed in the EU. We ask for clear consent before anything is uploaded.

Sourced

You can check the source

Explanations draw on published guidelines, shown so you can read the source yourself rather than take our word for it.

Honest scope

Not a diagnosis

Äini is for understanding your own data. It is not a medical device and does not replace your clinician.

What Äini does

  • Shows lab results you already have in plain language
  • Puts each marker in context with a cited source
  • Tracks how your markers move over time

What Äini does not do

  • Diagnose conditions or tell you that something is wrong
  • Set personal targets or prescribe treatment
  • Replace a conversation with your clinician
The longer story

Why Äini exists.

Maria Pennanen, founder of Äini

That gap, between what was possible and what was recommended, is why I built Äini.

When a first‑degree loss in bone density showed up in my health check, I asked the radiologist whether I should add heavier strength and impact training. He told me to keep doing what I was doing — yet that kind of loss can often be improved with exactly the training I’d asked about.

So Äini lets women in peri‑ and postmenopause read their own markers in plain language, with ranges, trends and sources — and spend appointments making decisions instead of decoding numbers from three different lab portals.
